"Washington Capitals" head coach Spencer Carbery commented that Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin had his longest practice on the ice so far after his injury - it lasted 20 minutes.

“The situation remains unchanged. The timetable or timing of the return has not changed. It's just another positive step. He and Milano continue to practice skills on the ice, so we're just moving forward with their return.

Ovechkin will work out with Kenny McCadden before practice and then probably start participating in some drills.”

Earlier it was reported that Alexander Ovechkin was diagnosed with a fractured leg.
