Russian forward Artemi Panarin of the New York Rangers scored a hat-trick and an assist in today's regular season NHL game against the Detroit Red Wings (5-2).

The game marked the 23rd game for Panarin in his NHL career in which he scored four points or more. That figure ranks third all-time among left wingers in their first 10 seasons in the world's strongest league, surpassing Bobby Hull, Ilya Kovalchuk and Mikko Rantanen (all have 22 games). Only Michel Goulet (25) and Luc Robitaille (32) have more.
The 32-year-old Russian forward has a total of 11 (5+6) points this season.
Rangers won their third victory in four games since the start of the current season, scored seven points and are in second place in the Metropolitan Division.
