Colorado forward Mikko Rantanen said that the team is waiting for Russian forward Valeri Nichushkin to return to the lineup.
"We need him, that's obvious. I don't want to go back to the past, to what's already happened. He's a big part of the team."
Nichushkin hit the third stage of the player assistance programme in May. It is not known exactly what problem the Russian was struggling with, but he was suspended for six months without pay.
"Colorado" head coach Jared Bednar said in a recent interview that Valeri Nichushkin will play his first NHL game after a long break on 15 November. In that matchup, the "Evellanche" will play "Washington".
Last NHL season Nichushkin scored 37 goals and gave 26 assists in 62 regular-season and playoff games.
