Russian forward Nikita Kucherov of the "Tampa Bay Lightning" scored six points in a regular-season NHL away game against the "Calgary Flames" (8-3). The 31-year-old forward scored one goal and five assists.
Thanks to this, Kucherov scored 44 points (14+30) in 25 games during the current regular season and moved up from the 10th line of the NHL scoring list to the second line. Now Nikita is second only to race leader Nathan MacKinnon of the "Colorado Avalanche", who has 47 points (11+36).
With one productive game, Kucherov has surpassed eight competitors in the race: Martin Nechas ("Carolina"), Kirill Kaprizov ("Minnesota") and Mikko Rantanen ("Colorado") all have 43 points, Leon Draisaitl ("Edmonton") has 42 points, Connor McDavid ("Edmonton") has 40 points, and Jack Eickel ("Vegas"), Sam Reinhart ("Florida") and Jesper Bratt ("New Jersey") all have 39 points.
