Daryl Morey's prediction system ranked the potential of the current "Sixers" high.

The system used by the "Philadelphia" president showed that the team had the best chance of winning a championship than any team he had assembled previously, including "Houston" from the 17/18 season.

In the 2018 playoffs, the Texans lost to "Golden State" in the Western Conference Finals.

The "Sixers" started the season ranked No. 4 by bookmakers on the list of teams with the best odds to win the season at 8-1 odds. The 76ers were expected to have more than 50 wins in the regular season.

Morey's patented system typically assigns title contenders a 5 to 10 percent chance of winning. Philadelphia's head-to-head formula peaked at 70 percent when the "Warriors" acquired Kevin Durant before the '16/17 season.

The "Sixers", who have been dealing with injuries to Joel Embiid, Paul George and Tyrese Maxey, are off to a 3-14 start.

“With the exception of Jared McCain, everything that could go wrong has gone wrong,” commented a team source on the start of the season.
